Howard University’s swim team– the only all-Black team in the U.S.– took home a conference championship for men's swimming for the first time in 34 years.
A new exhibit titled 'Pool: A Social History of Segregation' opened this week at Fairmount Water Works. The exhibition will examine the history of racially-segregated public pools in the U.S. and how it has contributed to current-day drowning issues among Black communities. The space will be open to the public Wednesday-Saturday through September.
