30 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths reported in Windsor-Essex


 
WINDSOR, ONT.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is reporting no additional deaths and 30 new COVID-19 cases in the region on Wednesday.
Windsor-Essex has had a total of 13,475 confirmed cases of the virus, including 12,801 people who have recovered.
Here’s the breakdown of new cases:
2 cases are outbreak related
8 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases
1 case is community acquired
1 case is travel related to Michigan
18 case are still under investigation
WECHU says 273 cases are considered active. There are 38 local Variant of Concern (VOC) cases have been identified in Windsor-Essex, two are the B.1.1.7 variant first reported in the United Kingdom while the others are unknown. ....

Windsor-Essex surpasses 400 COVID-19 deaths


There are 281 active cases of COVID-19 in Windsor-Essex, including 32 new ones reported on Tuesday.
Of those, one is outbreak-related, eight are close contacts of confirmed cases, eight cases were community acquired and 15 are under investigation.
Thirty-one people are in hospital with COVID-19.
A new outbreak was declared at the Salvation Army, just days after an outbreak at the shelter was cleared. There are three other community settings in outbreak: Victoria Manor, the Downtown Mission and South West Detention Centre.
There are six active cases involving inmates at the institution, according to the provincial government. The health unit is working closely with the institution, Marentette said. ....

Windsor-Essex adds 32 new COVID-19 cases, three more deaths: WECHU


 
WINDSOR, ONT.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is reporting 32 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and three more people have died related to the virus.
The health unit says the latest deaths included two men in their 70s, and one woman in her 80s all people from the community.
The death toll related to COVID-19 has reached 401 people.
Windsor-Essex has had a total of 13,445 confirmed cases of the virus, including 12,763 people who have recovered.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported 32 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday and three more deaths due to the virus.
Eight of the new cases were close contacts of confirmed cases, one is related to an outbreak, while eight are community acquired and 15 are still under investigation.
