A suspected armed robber, Godwin Rafael, 32, has explained why he always goes to T-Junctions at night to make sacrifices to God after killing people during operations.
Police said that Rafael’s gang, which specialised in attacking Point of Sale operators in Aba Town, Abia State, has killed three people, but the gang members, who are presently in police custody, admitted killing only two.
The two are a man, identified as Dr. Victor Chimaobi, killed along Market Road by Kent Street, Aba on January 21, 2021 and Ezinne Grace Iroh, robbed and killed on January 31, 2021 at Ukaegbu Street in Ogbor Hill area of Aba.

End of the road for POS robbers after killing victims in Aba

Seven members of a notorious armed robbery and kidnapping gang which specialized in robbing and killing Point of Sale, POS, operators, in Aba Town, Abia State, have been arrested by operatives of the Force Intelligence Response Team, IRT in Abia State.
Vanguard gathered that the suspects who were identified as Basil Macdonald, Emeka Uche, Godwin Rafael, Uzoma Samuel, Sunday Chibuike, Godwin Kalu and Abraham Thompson, were arrested recently after operatives of the IRT who were deployed to Abia State to checkmate activities of criminals in the state, trailed and apprehended them at their various hideouts.

Seven members of a gang that allegedly specialises in robbery and kidnapping in Abia State are cooling off their heels in the custody of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team.
The suspects, Basil Macdonald, Emeka Uche, Godwin Rafael, Uzoma Samuel, Sunday Chibuike, Godwin Kalu and Abraham Thompson, were apprehended in their various hideouts in Aba town.
City Round learnt that detectives went after them following the murder of two point of sale operators, Ezinne Iroh and Dr Victor Chimaobi, in the town. The gang reportedly killed Iroh on January 31, 2021 after robbing her of N150,000 while Chimaobi was murdered on January 21.
