ALPENA ­­– The regular meeting of the VFW 2496 Auxiliary was presided over by President Darryl McQuarrie at 6 p.m. on Feb. 9 with 15 members in attendance.
The secretary and treasurer reports from January were read and accepted after review. Tammy gave the bingo report and made a donation. Several committee reports were presented and it was announced that the donated items for the craft basket were on display and only a few things were still needed.
An update on the success of the lasagna dinner was shared with members and Darryl thanked everyone for their help and donation of desserts.
The fish fry schedule for Lent was announced and the Auxiliary will be in charge March 5 and 26. ....
