South Lakeland District Council approves plan to turn Finkle Street barbershop in Kendal into takeaway


Plans to convert a former barbershop in Finkle Street have been approved by South Lakeland District Council.
Veysullah Bagis applied to the council to open the food outlet for 14 hours a day, from 11am until 1am the following day, with an extra hour on Sundays and public holidays.
A decision on the plans was delegated to council planning officers, who approved the proposals.
The approval was subject to conditions including that a maintenance schedule for the extraction and treatment of fumes and odours generated from cooking shall be regularly submitted and approved in writing.
Another condition said the business should only operate between 8am and 11pm from Monday to Saturday, as well as on Sundays and public holidays. ....

Plans approved to convert Kendal barbers FEYZ into fish and chip shop


PLANS have been approved to convert a barbers into a fish and chip shop.
South Lakeland District Council has given the thumbs up to convert FEYZ BARBERS in Finkle Street, Kendal to a fish and chip shop and takeaway.
The application, submitted by Mr Veysullah Bagis, states that the shop and takeaway would be opening later on in the year.
It would also potentially provide employment for up to five people.
According to the plans, the fish and chip shop would be open from 11am Monday to Sunday and close at 2am over the weekend.
The plans also state that there will be no alterations to the front elevation of the building. ....
