Infinite to hold fan meeting, release new single

Veteran K-pop boy group Infinite is celebrating its 14th anniversary as a full unit with a fan meeting event on July 13 and 14. It will be the group's first meeting with fans in seven years. Infinite announced the event by posting its schedule for May, June and July on Friday. The band is also due to release a new digital single on June 9. The band will also hold a live-streaming event on the same day to celebra.

'White Fever': Australia's state broadcaster to produce comedy about an Asian woman's fetish for white men

Australian public broadcaster ABC and funding agencies Screen Australia and Vicscreen are producing a comedy series about an Asian woman who is obsessed with white men titled “White Fever.” About “White Fever”: The series is written by Korean Australian comedian and playwright Ra Chapman, who will also star in the series as Jane, a Korean Australian woman who has a fetish for hairy white men. “‘White Fever’ provides a roller-coaster ride that I hope will redefine how audiences perceive relationships, love, and even their own identities,” Chapman told TV Blackbox.

K-pop's Rain is back, with new album out and boy band Ciipher to launch

March 04, 2021 K-pop star Rain has launched his first new album in four years, and is producer for a boy band, Ciipher, that will launch later this month. Instagram/rain oppa Veteran K-pop idol Rain is back – and he’s doing better than ever. The South Korean singer-songwriter, musician and actor has spent much of the past year going viral for various dance performances and an occasional collaboration, but March will see him return in a big way: he started the month off by releasing a new album and it will end with him launching a new boy band, Ciipher.  Rain released his most recent album, My Life, in 2017. Wednesday (March 3) saw the release of the new one, Pieces by Rain, a five-track EP fronted by the single Why Don’t We featuring Chungha .

Boy band Super Junior drops new album in Japan January 27, 2021 Veteran K-pop boy band Super Junior has dropped its first new Japanese album in eight years, the act’s agency said Wednesday. The second-generation boy band released “Star,” a 30-track album whose namesake title track features an energetic dance beat, according to Label SJ. The band’s previous Japanese album was “Hero” released in 2013. The new album includes Japanese versions of the act’s hit songs “Mamacita,” “Devil” and “Black Suit” as well as original Japanese songs like “On and On.” Tracks sung in units and solo were also included.
