Vestas secures 56MW Polish order

Vestas has secured a 56MW order for the Banie lV project from Energix, the majority owner of the Polish wind farm. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of 16 V126-3.45MW wind turbines with an operational mode of 3.5MW combined with a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. The project, located in Banie in Western Pomerania, Poland, adds to the approximately 2.5GW of onshore wind turbines currently installed by Vestas in Poland. Vestas has also secured a further 1.2GW of orders to be installed.  Energix chief executive Asa Levinger said: Based on our previous experience with Vestas, we highly value the product quality and reliability of Vestas’ V126 turbine variant and Vestas’ track record for on-time installations.

Wednesday, 17 March 2021 Vestas has secured a 56 MW order from Energix for the Banie lV project, including supply, installation and commissioning of 16 V126-3.45 MW wind turbines combined with a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. Energix is the majority owner of the wind farm and is a well-established wind project developer in Poland. The project, located in Banie in Western Pomerania, Poland, adds to the approximately 2.5 GW of onshore wind turbines currently installed by Vestas in Poland. Vestas has also secured a further 1.2 GW of orders to be installed. “Vestas has been present in Poland since 2002” said Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern and Central Europe. “We are here to stay to support our customers and contribute to the clean energy transition in one of Europe`s largest onshore wind markets. Vestas picks up 75MW Irish order

Vestas has secured an order for the 75MW Cloncreen project in Ireland from the Irish climate solutions company Bord na Móna. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of 21 V136-3.45 MW wind turbines in 3.6MW operating mode in combination with a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.  As first reported by subscriber-only reNEWS on 16 September last year, the project will also feature a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and thus optimising the energy output. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022, while commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of 2022. This project is located in County Offaly in the Irish Midlands and it is derived from the latest RESS 1 auction round.

Vestas wins 36MW Scottish order

The project will consist of ten V112-3.45MW wind turbines in 3.6MW operating mode. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a long-term Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. The project will also feature a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and thus optimising the energy output. Turbine deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2022. In November 2020, Vestas was awarded the contract for the 50MW first phase of the project from the same customer. The twin projects will be located in the area of Dumfries & Galloway Council in South-West Scotland.

Vestas relishes 207MW Dutch delight

Vestas has won a 207MW turbine order from SwifterwinT op Land, a collaboration of more than 170 residents and entrepeneurs in the Netherlands, for the repowering of the Windplanblauw Onshore project. The wind farm currently consists of 46 turbines of various models and brands that will be replaced by 37 EnVentus V162-5.6MW machines with mix of 136.5-metre and 168-metre hub heights. Delivery is expected to start in the first quarter of 2022, while commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of the same year and the first quarter of 2023. The supply, installation and commissioning deal also includes a 25-year service and availability contract, capable of maximising the annual energy production while meeting local restrictions, as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
