It started after Transformation Church bought all the inventory at Silhouette Sneakers & Art and the owner wanted to pay it forward.
Owner Venita Cooper said it is society s responsibility to wrap its arms around the most vulnerable and lift them up in times of need.
“It s been a rough year for people,” said Cooper. “It s the responsibility of everybody to help their neighbors whenever they can… help the community whenever they can. The community rode with us throughout the year. They re the reason we re still standing.
She said after deciding to help out with rent many other businesses wanted in, too.

Church Donates $65,000 Worth of Sneakers to Boys’ Home
Oklahoma’s Transformation Church has done more than its bit to ensure its constituents have a positive end to the year. During last Sunday’s service, Pastor Michael Todd announced that the church had bought out Tulsa, Oklahoma-based sneaker store, Silhouette USA’s, entire stock for $65,000 and would be donating it to the Tulsa Boys’ Home.
Pastor Todd is a New York Times best-selling author and has around 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Following the charitable donation which benefits both the store and the boys receiving the shoes Todd said, “We are now giving shoes to the Tulsa Boys Home to be able to take exclusive shoes and give them to people that may not ever otherwise have an opportunity to own something like that.”
A Tulsa church gave away millions of dollars to people and organizations in need last weekend.
Buying out an entire sneaker store to go to a Tulsa boys home was just part of $3.5 million Transformation Church gave out this weekend to people in need.
$65,000 worth of shoes were all stacked up at Silhouette Sneakers and Art and they re all sold. I didn t believe him. I was like, am I being punked? said Venita Cooper.
Store owner Venita Cooper said Pastor Mike Todd from Transformation Church stopped by to purchase all 186 pairs of high-end sneakers. We re now giving them to the Tulsa boys home to take exclusive shoes and give them to people that may not ever have the chance to own something like that, said Todd.
