NCVC: Vegetation Coverage in Madinah Increased by 360% in Past 5 Months

The Saudi National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) announced that the vegetation coverage in Madinah has increased by 360% due to the rainfall during the past five months of 2023. The center noted that the vegetation coverage in Madinah had reached 2,863.4 km² in August 2023, covering 1.9% of the region's total area. In December 2023, the vegetation coverage gradually increased, reaching 13,194.5 km² and covering 8.7% of the region's area.
