LONDON Vauxhall s van factory in England will gain a third shift as demand increases for the light commercial vehicles it builds.
The plant in Luton builds the Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro, Citroen Jumpy/Dispatch and Peugeot Expert vans.
The third shift will start on July 12, parent company Stellantis said on Wednesday in a statement.
A total of 188 volunteer employees from Vauxall s factory in Ellesmere Port, which builds the Astra compact car, will boost the Luton workforce on a temporary basis to 1,750 staff.
