Kim Vander Schelde can remember the early London Free Press photographs that marked her battle to get daughter Olivia better cancer treatment.
“On my way to work today, I was thinking about her on the couch in her pink little sweater, so scared we’d lose her,” she says. “I never thought all these years later, we’d be fighting so hard for others and other kids who aren’t so fortunate.”
