Markets were cautious ahead of the outcome of the US Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on Thursday. Due to underperformance in the banking index, the current rally in the markets lacks decisiveness.
In the Sensex pack, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Power Grid, Reliance, UltraTech Cement, and NTPC closed higher, whereas, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Finserv closed lower.
