As people across the world are watching the long-awaited Tokyo Olympics, some cities are excited for what future games will bring.
The International Olympic Committee already announced its plans for when and where future games will take place, and cities like Paris, Milan, Los Angeles and Beijing are expected to be hosts. 
Financially, hosting the games isn t as glamorous as it may seem. According to a 2020 study, the average sports-related cost of hosting the Olympics is $12 billion, whereas non-sports-related costs can be several times that.
For this year s games, the Wall Street Journal reported a budget of $15.4 billion, but Japanese government auditors have said total spending tops $20 billion. ....

President's Day: What's open, what's not

ROCHESTER, N.Y.(WHEC)  Monday is Presidents Day, and many federal and local government buildings are closed for the day. This includes Rochester City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, and other administrative offices. 
The Post Office is also shut down. But, if you need to go to the bank, a few branches may be open.
For the kids at home, most of them o are also off from school this week for winter break, enjoy!
So, with some places closed, and the kid s home, if you re looking for something to do, the skating rinks at MLK Park and Genesee Valley Sports Park are open. For more information on COVID-19 precautions and skating sessions  ....
