Justine Cormack and Marc Taddei are something of a classical music power couple. He is the music director of both Orchestra Wellington in New Zealand and the Vallejo Symphony, near San Francisco (their seasons are at opposite times of the year). She is an award-winning violinist and cofounder of NZTrio in Auckland, which is where the couple was long based.

Dec. 16 It’s not that Anna Maria Mendieta wasn’t aware of music’s role in the health and well-being of the world before the pandemic.
But now? Any chance at bringing her talents to the masses is precious for the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra harpist.
“What’s happening with COVID has turned the entertainment industry upside down,” Mendieta said. “In some respects, I think that, my goodness, for many of us it’s opened up a whole different perspective of what it means to perform and what it means to engage with audiences abroad.” ....

Vallejo Symphony offers streaming holiday concert

Vallejo Symphony offers streaming holiday concert

VALLEJO The Vallejo Symphony will stream a holiday performance at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 on the symphony’s YouTube channel.
This performance will be available for 48 hours.
Performers are Scott Macomber and Brad Hogarth, trumpets; Alex Camphouse, horns; Tim Carless, bass trombone; and Bruce Chrisp, tenor trombone.
Chrisp is the principal trombonist with the Marin, Santa Rosa, Fresno, Napa Valley, Santa Cruz County, Vallejo and Carmel Bach Festival orchestras.
He has been performing professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989 and records regularly at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. ....
