Serving Our Community for 102 Years
The United Way of Central Massachusetts has been serving our community for 102 years. We have been instrumental in helping those most vulnerable find support and comfort in the most challenging of times. From the days of our first grant to the “Free Milk Society” in the 1920’s to the “Worcester Together” response during the pandemic, we have been at the forefront of improving lives and providing stability for those most in need. In many ways, we are ‘the people’s philanthropy’ in that our work is centered around partnerships.
UMass Medical School ranks 10th nationwide in primary care by U.S. News & World Report in its annual rankings of the best graduate schools. The 2022 report also marks a rise for UMMS in research, this year ranking 45th, up two spots from the previous ranking.
U.S. News & World Report ranked the T.H. Chan School of Medicine 10th for primary care education in its 2023 rankings of America’s best graduate schools. UMass Chan also ranks in the top 50 for research and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs.
Brian Argus, MEd, and Imani M. Williams, MBS, took part in early matches in ophthalmology. Students entering the National Resident Matching Program will discover where they will serve their residencies on Friday, March 18.
