Solano County has the lowest wages and highest unemployment of any Bay Area county, according to a new study released by California Forever and authored by Michael Genest, former California Director of Finance. California Forever announced a community advisory committee, full of current and formal public officials and community leaders from across Solano County. The committee, according to a press release from the company, has experience with Travis Air Force Base, local businesses, agriculture, nonprofits and faith based communities in Solano County. “Informed by their varied backgrounds,” the release read, “these respected volunteers agreed to share their expertise and feedback to help us shape the proposal that we will publish in January 2024, and that will be voted on in November 2024.” The company has also met with city, county, state and federal […]
