The city is reviewing a building-permit application for Axionlog to build its cold and dry storage warehouse in North Jacksonville at an estimated cost of $2.9 million.
V. Paulius & Associates of Allendale, New Jersey, is the contractor for the 37,763-square-foot project on 8.5 acres at 11370 New Berlin Road.
The city previously issued permits totaling $125,000 for site clearing on 16.53 acres, foundation construction and other work.
Axionlog, the Argentina-based global restaurant supplier, proposes to build a $15 million warehouse. It will start with freezer and dry storage space designed for expansion to almost 105,000 square feet.
The “2020 Distribution Center for Axionlog Cold Solutions” plans show freezer, cooler and dry-storage space connected to cool-dock and dry-dock space and an office.
