Days after Southaven’s annual Springfest was forced to shut down early due to juvenile violence, people in the area had the chance to meet with the leadership of the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department at a town hall meeting.
Shelby County Commissioner told FOX13 that Juvenile Court closed due to the building being examined for possible environmental hazards such as asbestos, mold and lead.
Questions remain as to exactly why the Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County continues to remain closed for regular operations on Monday, April 29th.
The young women of Daughters Beyond Incarceration, who have parents who are currently serving or have served time in prison, said violence among young people is getting out of hand and it's impacting their lives.
