CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - There are currently eight gender-neutral restrooms inside the University of Virginia School of Law building, but some students say they’re not easily accessible in between classes and need to be moved.
“On one hand, it’s a dignity problem. It’s an issue of them sending the wrong message to trans-students that we don’t belong and that we should hide,” UVA School of Law student Chloe Fife said. ....

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The Virginia Law Review, one of the most prestigious journals in the country operating since 1913, just named its first-ever Black editor-in-chief: Tiffany Mickel. She is excited to take the reins.
“I feel so honored,” Mickel said. “I don’t feel like I’m the first Black qualified EIC, but I am the first, so I’m just so completely humbled.”
Mickel is in her second year of law school at the University of Virginia. She took the road less traveled to get here. ....

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - For the second time Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump.
“What matters is whether the Senate convicts him on the articles of impeachment brought by the House,” UVA law professor, Charles Barzun said.
President Trump is the only president in U.S. history to be impeached twice.
“These are unusual times. We live in constitutional times. None of this is at all normal. It might become the new normal and I hope not. These are exceptional circumstances that we are in now,” Barzun said. ....
