A new world record price of £27,100 or £28,455 to include the buyers premium, and a further eight lots selling for more than £7000 were the main highlights of a timed online sale of working dogs staged through Farmers Marts, Dolgellau. The sale of 126 dogs to include 65 trained, 36 part-trained and 25 pups which met an 80% clearance, saw a new world high paid for Welshman, Dewi Jenkins Kim, a 12-month-old red and white bitch, from Tynygraig, Talybont. A daughter of Ross Games Caefelin Clem and Frank Hickson s Graylees Dollar, this youngster which is able to work stubborn rams as well as cattle, sold to E Vaughan, Partridge Nest Farm, Newcastle, Staffordshire.

A new world record was set at an online auction held by Farmers Marts Dolgellau last week, when an 11 month-old Welsh-bred sheepdog, Kim, sold for a mammoth £27,100 (€30,934). The price for Kim, including buyer’s premium, totalled £28,466 (€32,491).
Sheepdog Kim was bred and trained by Dewi Jenkins and is from Caefelin Clem, sired by Graylees Dollar and is described as a smart red-and-white pricked-ear dog. It is said her new owners, E Vaughan of Partridge Nest Farm in Newcastle, Staffordshire, will be very pleased with her.
