From what we understand, this same white mustang was involved in at least two hit and runs. Tomorrow, students in the corridor are making the drive to des moines to explain to lawmakers why they need more. Cbs 2 News Reporter matt hammill spoke with those students today, he joins us live from cedar rapids, matt . Karen some 50 students from area high schools will become lobbiests tomorrow. We caught up with the group from jefferson as they talked to superintendent brad buck this afternoon. The students say this isnt just a budget, its their future and they want to tell lawmakers face to face. We talked with grace morningstar, a jefferson band a show choir member, who says she couldnt just stand by and do nothing. If the funding is cut, were going to see a lot of things that directly impact us such as a lot of extra extra curricular activities and class size. Class sizes really lot of the Extracurricular Activities and classes, class sizes really affect students on an everyday basis. It is really going to change if there is that change in funding. Nevada caucuses are the first in the west, and an important gage of how local voters feel about the crop of president ial candidates. With the nations focus on nevada, both parties are determined to have their events error free. A lot of the success will depend on the volunteer base the parties can drum up between now and caucus day. The repubican caucus chair here in Washoe County, says a lot of people are calling headquarters asking where they can volunteer. Theyll have 28 caucus locations on february 23rd. Democrats say their Training Session is a great way to get volunteers, and because they have more than 60locations for their febraury 20th event, they need more bodies. Phyllis westrup rep.
