DIMAPUR Health department across Nagaland observed ‘World Malaria Day’ on April 25 by organising awareness programmes on the theme “Time to deliver zero malaria: invest, innovate, implement.” The day is observed every year on April 25 with an objective to raise awareness of the global effort to control, prevent and eventually eradicate malaria. Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes.
