Time as far as the forecast today. yes, we have warnings of course in colorado. we still have that flooding occurring. but a lot of watches in new mexico. there s a reason for a change in the forecast. yesterday, we had all these winds coming out of the south, producing all this southerly moisture, reaching far north into colorado. today we ll see a hint of a shift. keep in mind yesterday, we saw the upslope. it enhanced the amount of rain that came out of that. that s the reason we saw that heavy rain. that shift will happen today, the low will move off to the east. you get westerly inwoulds. we re not going to see that rain as far north as into colorado. still expected to be out there but not as high. new mexico should get 2 to 4 inches of rain. any more rain that has too much is never a good thing. you ve got that right. indra petersons, thanks so much. a famous boardwalk damaged by superstorm sandy is destroyed again. it was memorial day when the new jersey boardwalk in seaside ....
Is it enough to say we are back on the upslope after one uptick there in the job creation number? we need to create bring unemployment down to 6.6%. we are well capable of doing that mr. reagan i object laterred a bigger mess, unemployment peeked for him at 10.4% unlike obama s 10 and by this time, he had unemployment down to about 7. and with a lot more people looking whereas with this president, a lot of people have quit looking. we had 348,000 people quit the labor force if think hadn t done that unemployment would have jumped to 8.5 or 8.6%. also looking at the numbers as it relates to manufacturing. some saying we have come back to the point where we were right prior to the recession. which is manufacturing is kind of getting back to that point of 2007. but, 5 million people still out of work. ....
There will be a lot of snow further back out to the west here in colorado. not very impressive on the radar right there. and snow usually isn t. look at that number for impressive. anywhere here south of denver from castle rock right on back down to colorado springs, this warning here across i-70, the lineman, the upslope this is a lower elevation. this here is a higher elevation. when the wind comes in this direction, it s just like a cold front pushing the air in to the sky. it pushes the air up higher and higher. higher and higher you go, the colder it is. the cold air can t hold as much moisture. it falls out as snow. this is not a typical springtime snow, tony. many times, the fall, late fall, early spring get the heaviest snowfalls across colorado and the plains because you can tap the gulf of mexico and you get that gulf of mexico air in here and it really starts to snow as you get up to 4,000, 5,000 feet, cold enough to make snow. terrific stuff as always. ....
