Posted on February 18th, 2021 By P.K.Balachandran Colombo, February 18: The Indian High Commission said here on Thursday, that the Sri Lankan Minister for Energy, Udaya Gammanpila, had not said that the 2017 MoU on the oil tanks in Trincomalee would  be  scrapped,  and that in the Indo-Lankan Joint Venture (JV) to be formed to develop and run the tanks, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) would hold a majority stake.        A press note from the High Commission said: There is no truth in reports in some sections of the media that the understanding between India and Sri Lanka on jointly developing and operating the Upper Tank Farm at Trincomalee has been scrapped.”
