Phoenix’s Matthew Wright and Justin Chua couldn’t wait to be able to work with new teammates Chris Banchero and Vic Manuel once full practices in preparation for the PBA’s 46th season can finally start.
The Fuel Masters made big moves last February first by acquiring Banchero from the Magnolia Hotshots Pambasang Manok in exchange for Calvin Abueva before landing Manuel from the Alaska Aces in a separate deal.
Plenty of possibilities are being seen as Phoenix hopes to improve its semifinal finish from last year’s Philippine Cup bubble with Banchero and Manuel joining forces with the likes of Wright, Chua, Jason Perkins, RJ Jazul and rookie Larry Muyang.

Greg Slaughter got some additional help in preparation for his PBA return by working out with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel teammate Japeth Aguilar.
Instagram stories shared by Slaughter and Aguilar’s wife Cassy showed the two Ginebra big men taking part in a one-on-one scrimmage at the Upper Deck Sports Center in Ortigas where Ginebra usually holds its practices.

“Back in the lab (with) my twin!” Slaughter said in one of the IG stories he posted.
Ginebra coach Tim Cone confirmed in a Twitter response to a fan several weeks ago that Slaughter agreed to sign with Ginebra after a misunderstanding with management early last year prompted the 7-footer to leave for the United States.
