Historic Lake Michigan car ferry now booking 2021 crossings

LUDINGTON, MI – Michigan’s historic S.S. Badger car ferry is prepping for a full season of cross-lake service at full capacity after the COVID-19 pandemic caused a shortened season with decreased capacity in 2020.
The ferry is offering one round trip across Lake Michigan daily from May 20 to Oct. 10. The Badger will depart Ludington at 9 a.m. and arrive in Manitowoc, Wis., at noon after the four-hour trip. The trip back begins at 2 p.m. with the ship docking in Ludington at 7 p.m.
