Born Helen Louise Fry March 12, 1951, in Elimsport to James Albert Fry and Isabel Florence Hill Fry, was called home to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 8, 2021.
A graduate of Montgomery High School, Helen excelled in most everything she set her mind and work ethic to. She made it her mission to keep learning and earned many additional certifications over her career. Working mostly in the Social Services arena, she served at the Children’s Aide Society of Chambersburg, Pa., as the Activities Director for the Upper Adams Senior Center in Biglerville, Pa., as an Ombudsman for the elderly in nursing homes and assisted living sites and Admissions Coordinator and Social Services Director at the Caledonia Manor Nursing Home in Fayetteville, Pa. She was also a part-time correspondent for the Gettysburg Times, writing numerous articles about senior citizens.
