BUTUAN CITY - At least 1,756,210 residents in the Caraga Region have registered in the PhilSys Step 2 as of June 30 this year, the regional office of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA-13) said. "The registration in the Caraga Region officially started on June 30, 2021," PSA-13 Director Rosalinda Apura said in a statement Monday. Apura said the 1.7 million registrants represent 71 percent of the region's total projected population of 5-years-old and above. As of June this year, a total of 519,581 registrants were recorded in Agusan del Norte, including Butuan City; 510,871 in Agusan del Sur; and 306,359 in Surigao del Norte. Some 339,030 residents have registered for the PhilSys Step 2 in Surigao del Sur, while 80,369 in the Province of Dinagat Islands.
