Sunshine Beach State High senior boys AFL players Bayley Crawford, Angus Castle, Tom McNally, Zak Crozier and Dane Larson.
Sunshine Beach State High School’s senior boys team arrived at the fields with a number of players from backgrounds of rugby union, rugby league and football.
There was only a handful of experienced AFL players among them.
The boys showed no shortage of game management and skill on the field when they started their day with a win over Immanuel Lutheran College kicking 4.1.25 to 2.0.12.

Coast AFL star Jack Payne will continue his lifelong attachment to the Brisbane Lions after becoming the latest young gun to commit his future to the club.
The former Noosa Tigers junior has supported the Lions since he was a kid and had no hesitation signing a new three year deal that tied him to the club until the end of 2024.
The 21-year-old defender broke into the senior side for five games last season and added to his tally in the opening rounds of the current season before a foot injury ruled him out of the round 4 clash against the Western Bulldogs. ....
