Penn State is partnering again with a national nonprofit to fight food insecurity and student hunger at every campus across the commonwealth. Students at all Penn State campuses can donate when they pay for their meal at any residential dining facility between Nov. 12 and 20.
On May 5, Penn State Student Affairs released the results of the Food and Housing Needs Survey, which was conducted in fall 2021 among a random sample of students at the University Park campus. The results have provided University leaders with additional, important insight into the prevalence and nature of student needs in the area of food and housing security and are informing next steps.
Across the University, Penn State offers various resources to help students with food and housing insecurity, financial issues and basic needs. Among these efforts, Penn State's campus food pantries are helping to support students and alleviate everyday stressors such as figuring out what food to put on the table.
