来自河北衡水农村的黄英在高校食堂工作已经7年了。今年暑假，学校放假时间为7月18日至8月29日。第一、第三食堂7月18日至8月5日营业，黄英所在的第四食堂8月6日至8月26日营业，这意味着黄英的暑假时间总共19天。
谈及仅19天假期，她向记者解释说，暑假会有学生晚走、提前返校或留校，各个食堂会按照客流量轮流关门休息。
“回家歇歇，看看孩子。”黄英决定暑假回老家看看女儿，她和丈夫同在北京打工，孩子只有家里的老人帮忙带。学校管理部门每年暑假会根据人流量决定开放哪几个食堂，往年碰到暑假不停业的时候，每年只能过年回一次家，所以黄英格外珍惜十多天的假期。
