And while there were criticisms of some of his decisions, most of those were soon superseded by state mandates that either matched or exceed the mayor’s own decisions.
Now, all of the city’s coronavirus-related regulations, such as facial coverings and occupation limits, are imposed by the Alabama Department of Public Health or the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
