WATERSPORT enthusiasts have been busy cleaning up rivers and beaches.
The River Brit was cleaned up by a team from Bay Paddle Boarding, 25 scouts and West Bay Canoes.
The group of volunteers picked litter from the river whilst a number of families turned up on the riverbank, in spite of wet weather, to clear up any litter from alongside the river and the coastal paths, to stop it from entering the sea.
Amanda Arnold from University London Queen Mary even paddle boarded for the first time to record what was collected for her Plastic Prevention research project.
Bay Paddle Boarding plans to do another beach and river clean event in the autumn. ....
