During AMS Assembly on Dec. 12, student leaders from multiple faculty societies (FacSocs) said they were financially struggling while awaiting the transfer of money from the AMS. President of the Computing Students’ Association (COMPSA) Akash Singh questioned the executive in his seat at the table in Jeffery Hall.
AMS Assembly, held Nov. 21, had students of diverse backgrounds share their personal experiences of discrimination and the pain of the war happening in Palestine. Students at-large urged student leaders to take a stand. After three hours of speakers, assembly adjourned before any other topic was discussed.
AMS Assembly met on Oct. 24 to report on Homecoming, discuss the JDUC renovation, and ratify 30 new clubs in Mackintosh-Corry Hall. In motions passed unanimously, Assembly approved eight campus groups to appear on the 2023 fall referendum ballot to establish or increase student fees.
