A total of four Nebraska volleyball alumni are competing in the Tokyo Olympics. Jordan Larson, Kelsey Robinson and Justine Wong-Orantes make up one-quarter of the United States team, while Sarah Pavan will compete for Canada in beach volleyball. All four Huskers have an excellent chance to earn a medal and are arguably the gold medal favorites in their respective sport.
On the court, Team USA enters the Olympics with a No. 1 world ranking, and the Americans have won the last three FIVB Volleyball Nations League Championships. The Americans have won a medal in each of the last three Olympics, although the United States has never won a gold medal in women’s volleyball. Larson is competing in her third Olympics after helping Team USA to a silver medal in 2012 and a bronze medal in 2016. Robinson was also a member of the bronze-medal winning team in 2016, while Wong-Orantes is making her Olympic debut in Tokyo.  ....
