we have to recognize that unless iran either reshapes its calculus will what its interests are or somehow gets new leaders and we don t see that really happening any time soon, iran is probably going to have the choice of getting the bomb. we can raise the cost slightly or modestly or significantly but all we re doing is raising the cost for iran of something that it probably wants to do anyway. so not stopping the iranian regime but trying to contain them and make it more difficult, shep. shepard: we can t do that alone. getting china on board would be a really big step. absolutely. and the question is how far they are willing to go. the united states would really like to punish iran s revolutionary guard. it is not clear that china is willing to go that far. but everybody still seems to support the idea of doing what it takes to get china and russia on board, shep. shepard: thank you. mike emanuel live at the pentagon where authorities are now saying iran is also causing pr
