okay. earlier this hour we told you that at&t is set to become the largest mobile carrier in the nation. it s agreed to purchase t-mobile usa for $39 billion. one of the largest transactions in recent years. stephanie elam is following it closely. we saw the we separated them all and now putting them back together. and everybody said that would eventually happen. and we ve seen this happen over and over again. and this one, though, a lot of people wondering will this actually get the regulatory approval? because sure, they can say they re going to merge, they can say we re going to take over this other company. but really the united states regulatory commission is going to take a look at this. and they re going to say, is this a good idea? and is this going to benefit consumers? take a look at the statement we have from senator john rockefeller. and listen to what he s saying here.
