University of Kentucky Provost Robert S. DiPaola has announced that Danelle Stevens-Watkins, Ph.D., currently a professor in the Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology, as well as the associate vice president for research, diversity and inclusion, will serve as acting dean of the College of Education, effective Jan. 4, 2023.
Together, the school personnel principals and other district leaders create a simulation for graduating seniors in elementary education to put the finishing touches on their interviewing skills and prepare for the hiring process.
Music had always played a part in Jeffrey Jones' life. He wandered off from those passions as he gained employment, children and other interests. But, with the help of the Donovan Scholarship through the University of Kentucky Office of Lifelong Learning, Jones has restarted an important chapter in his life.
When University of Kentucky professor Jonathan Thomas, Ph.D., and then-student David Brown were paired for a project at the UK College of Education, they discovered shared traits a similar sense of work ethic and trust, plus the ability to improvise, adapt and persevere. Their shared research studying unconscious bias among teachers relied upon many of those traits, which they credit their time serving in the U.S. military for developing.
