Romanian state-run nuclear power producer Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO) has informed the capital market in a report on Nov 28
that it signed a contract worth 781 million Canadian dollars (equivalent of EUR523 million) with Canadian firm AtkinsRéalis for the supply of reactor tooling and components, as well as engineering services and technology, in support of the life extension of the CANDU reactor of Unit 1 at Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant (Cernavoda NPP).
Unit 1 at Koeberg nuclear power station is expected to be synchronised to the grid by the end of the month after the unit’s three steam generators were succesfully replaced.
