Increase Recorded In Number Of COVID Patients At UHL

There’s been a small rise in the number of COVID patients receiving treatment at University Hospital Limerick.
After a consistent decline in the number of patients in hospital with the virus, last night saw the number climb by two to 38 when compared with the day before.
It’s still well back on the 59 patients who were COVID-positive across the UL Hospitals Group the week before.

The number of patients in intensive care with the disease has remained consistent at seven across the weekend.

Admissions For Covid-19 Jumps At Region's Main Hospital

The number of patients being treated for Covid-19 at University Hospital Limerick have jumped since the weekend.
The latest figures from the HSE show 6 patients were being treated for the virus there last night, up from 2 on Sunday, while the number in intensive care has risen from 1 to 2.
This is still well behind levels which had been seen in recent weeks, however.

Seven more patients are being tested for suspect cases of COVID-19 at the Dooradoyle facility, while the figures also show there is now only one vacant critical care bed there.
