The mask business is simply the comic relief of the state’s dad being unable to discipline the petulant child in the family. The serious business? First, there’s this nonsense of Rutledge joining with other Republican state AGs to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to invalidate the Electoral College votes of certain battleground states. This effort is being led by Texas AG Ken Paxton, who is trying to beat off a federal bribery investigation – not exactly the person Rutledge or anyone else should choose as a companion in the fight up ....
