People there will see a wintry mix throughout the day. A live look at the radar which shows there is snow coming down. You can call it winters last laugh as the official start of spring is just a few hours from now. We have Live Team Coverage of this end of winter snow with our First Alert Team of meteorologists and reporters. Lets begin with Brittney Shipp. We are tracking snow moving into our area almost our entire area seeing snowfall. Seeing more of a mix and rainfall a little closer to the shore. But here is a look outside of our studios now, rain continues, the snow continues to come down and then rain drops here on our camera. You can see this snow covered lawns there and trees and as we head into the rest of the day, we head into your evening commute, were going to see snow picking up in intensity. You want to be careful driving as you head out and home from work. Rainfall in cape may and most of Cape May County. Here is how it is going to progress as we head into the 1 00 hour
Even if the snow stops, that slushy snow we may have some freezing drizzle as we go through the night. Theres going to be a lot of moisture just sitting around possibly creating icy spots for early saturday. Of course, the sun will take care of that very quickly, so you can just wake up later. You can see the back edge of this. This is six hours worth. Its been moving very steadily. Theres no doubt that it is over in Lancaster County. Most of berks county, over. Parts of the Lehigh Valley and poconos, over. But nowhere near over in Burlington County and Atlantic County and ocean county. You can see some of the rain spreading up to the north. Also some sleet. Look at the back edge here coming into Chester County now. Getting the last burst. Look at this rain snow line. Its moving to the north, so it may actually turn to rain in philadelphia and wilmington over the in the next hour or so. That means the temperatures are even more critical. Reporter good morning, guys, we have moistening of the at south and west, while the early on set of this may not be hitting the ground its fairly light stuff we are in the process of seeing this precipitation moving in. Eventually well see it overtake us. Its a fairly large system, doesnt look like it will be done this will until this evening. Theres a Winter Weather advisory posts across the region until 8 00 p. M. In the all the counties in purple. Theres a chance of slushy snow staying with us until 7 00 p. M. To 9 00 p. M. West to east. We could see slush developing at times later in the day. 35 in philadelphia. 35 in wilmington. Youll notice a lot of area is above freezing. As the precipitation initially comes in, it should make for wet roads and later on well see the slushiness develop. We are below freezing in allentown and trenton.
