Quick overview on his life up to that point. He was born on february 6th, 1833. He attempted to enlist in the u. S. Military but was told he was too young. He spent two years at emory and henry college. In 1850 he received his appointment. During stewarts time there, robert e. Lee arrived in 1852 and served as the military academys superintendent.
