Members of the Operational Task Force for the Situation with Migrants in the Una-Sana Canton (USC) at today's meeting analyzed the problem of improvised, illegal migrant camps and uncoordinated activities of certain international humanitarian organizations, as well as the problem of financing long-term engagement of police officers in this situation
Several hundred migrants and refugees are still staying on their own in improvised makeshift camps in the area of Bihać and Velika Kladuša, regardless of the worsening weather conditions. Such a decision is primarily explained by the close proximity to the border zone with the Republic of Croatia, i.e. an easier way to try to reach the destination in the European Union
The Service for Foreigners Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has undertaken operational activities aimed at controlling the movement and stay of migrants in the Cazin area at two locations, Šturlić and Hadžin Potok, where migrants stayed in makeshift accommodation
