Over a hundred women in Punjab’s Faridkot were honoured on January 30 for championing “poison-free” kitchen gardening as part of efforts by the Kheti Virasat Mission.
In a successful adaptation of utilising paddy straw as a fuel in mini-jaggery making units in the area, more and more farmers are using it for the first time.
