Wrestling: A Dozen Former, Current or Future Huskers Competing at Nationals Nebraska will be well represented at Senior and Junior Nationals this weekend in Coralville, Iowa Share this story Photo by Harry How/Getty Images There are 12 wrestlers competing this weekend at the 2021 Senior and Junior Nationals at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa that have ties to Nebraska. The 10 winners at the junior level will earn Junior World Team spots, while the top five finishers at the senior level qualify for the 2021 Senior World Trials later this year. Former Husker standouts Tyler Berger and James Green are both competing at 70kg (154 pounds) at the senior level, while Christian Lance is competing at 125kg (276 pounds). ....

A week after dominating at the Ultimate Club Duals, Taylor traveled to Wisconsin to compete in the UWW Cadet World Team Trials at 71kg with a trip to compete in the World Championships in Budapest in July on the line. The future Husker started hot as he won his first three matches by tech fall. He downed Grant Mackay 13-3 in the Round of 64 before beating Holden Garcia 12-2 in the Round of 32. In the Round of 16, Taylor beat Gaetano Console 10-0. ....
Jon Johnston / CORN NATION The Huskers are riding a few really solid recruiting classes as of late. Two of those players are from in-state Millard South High School in Scott Robertson and Antrell Taylor. Robertson will join the Huskers as a freshman this fall, while Taylor still has his senior year of high school ahead of him and hopes to win his third state title. Over the weekend, the MWC Wrestling Academy out of Omaha traveled to State College to take part in the Ultimate Club Duals.
