Firefighter mourns death of father with the same profession after repeated Russian strike in Kharkiv – video

Firefighter Vladyslav Lohinov, 52, was killed in the Russian night attack on the city of Kharkiv. The attack also claimed the lives of three other rescue workers and a civilian woman. His son Volodymyr, who is also a firefighter, works at a nearby fire station, the Interior Ministry of Ukraine says.

"The goal is to disguise military": Ukraine tests fabrics for anti-thermal imaging poncho

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has started testing the fabric for anti-thermal ponchos. The fabric is expected to absorb infrared light. Currently, the Central Department is testing five samples of different fabrics, as reported in the ministry.

Fragments from a Russian missile fired at Kyiv landed a mere 300 meters from the Help Animals of Ukraine (HAU) wild animal rescue center, injuring Yuna, a lioness recently rehabilitated, the organization said on Facebook on Jan. 2.
