Hundreds came to the Basilica in St. John's Saturday to mark the two-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Those in attendance listened to prayers and Bible readings, lit candles and sang the Ukrainian anthem.
An event in St. John's on Saturday commemorated the victims of the Holodomor, the man-made famine in Ukraine in 1932 and 1933, created by government-imposed sanctions on the Soviet republic of Ukraine.
