Ukrainian Folk Festival: Authentic food, dance and music comes to Horsham, Montgomery County

The Ukrainian Folk Festival 2022 will feature authentic music, dance and food. It will be held at the Ukrainian Sport Center in Horsham, Montgomery at noon on Sunday, Aug. 28. This is the first time the event has been held since 2019. This year, $5 from every $15 ticket will be donated to the Ukrainian American Relief Committee due to the ongoing Russian invasion. The festival was first held as a celebration of Ukraine's independence from the Soviet Union, which it gained on Aug. 24, 1991. ....

Independence Seaport Museum's 'Spring Break Series' delves into Philadelphia's maritime history

The Independence Seaport Museum is running its 'Spring Break Series' from April 11-15 and April 18-22. Visitors can explore the history of pirates on the Delaware, learn how to tie nautical knots on Cruiser Olympia and sew their own sail as part of the 'Tides of Freedom' exhibit that explores the abolitionist movement in Philadelphia. The programs are part of general admission. Tickets cost $14-18. ....
