Storm water overflows into Dublin Bay from the country’s largest sewage treatment plant have surged by 80pc this year due to months of unrelenting rainfall.
Two water outages are expected to occur in Glanmire on Tuesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 25 as Uisce Éireann is carrying out essential works to the water network.
Bad weather is expected to continue in County Cork this week – despite a yellow rain warning expiring today at noon – as poor conditions are predicted across the week.
Uisce Éireann has advised customers in Bandon town that there be a planned overnight water outage from 11pm on Tuesday, March 26 until 6am on Wednesday, March 27.
